Title: Once Upon A Time
Author: S.K. Hartley
Genre: Romantic Comedy | Contemporary Romance
Cover Design: S.K. Hartley
I don't believe in fairy tales. I don't believe in glass slippers. I don't believe in Prince-Freaking-Charming.
Cinderella can kiss my ass.
I kiss frogs, sometimes even toads. I've given up on meeting Mr. Right, instead it seems all I meet is Mr. Wrong, Mr. Very-Wrong and even, Mr. Lets-Not-Even-Go-There.
Fairy tales are for morons.
Well, that's what I thought until Gabriel Black barged through my life, turning everything upside down. He's hot, sexy and little rough around the edges. But, he's hiding something, something deep. I can feel it, taste it and smell it.
Now I'm left wondering if he's my Prince Charming or my fairy tale villain. Will I ride away safely into the night, dreaming of happily ever afters? Or, will I stumble and fall in ridiculously high heels only meant for women with a death wish?
Once Upon A Time... I met Gabriel Black.

⛔️WARNING: not recommended for those under 18, due to not only the sexual content, but to the shattering of the belief of fairy tales...they are for morons! :)
ONCE UPON A TIME...
Those magical four words from childhood which opened the doors to the fairy tale worlds of princesses, princes, frog kissing, and those sickeningly romantic happily ever afters that every little girl dreams of.
Not Payton...Payton believes that fairytales are for morons, and that Cinderella can kiss her ass! And here, my favourite fairy tale is born, written by the magical fingers of S.K. Hartley.
Being the 'grown up' child that I am, I'd often wished for someone to bring the world of fairy tales to adult life, and totally shift the concept of the whole belief in them. S.K totally blew me away with this story, I was drawn in hook, line and sinker. Falling in love with not only the story, but with each and everyone of the hilarious characters.
The story had a little of everything I love to read in a book...humour, emotional turmoil, heat, a HOT rich sexy CEO, and soooooo much sexual tension that my kindle was practically oozing it out.
Payton no longer believes in Prince Charming...
After suffering the ultimate betrayal by her childhood sweetheart's penchant for eating other women's vaginas, Payton swears off of believing that Prince Charming ever even existed. That is, until she literally stumbles and falls flat on to her face at the feet of one hot Gabriel Black. Suddenly, she becomes entangled inside of her own raging war. Fighting her own brains trained beliefs fighting her hearts determination to believe that fairy tale endings do happen.
Payton was everything I love in a lead female. She's strong, feisty, and knows exactly what and who she wants. Yet, despite these traits of strength she exudes, she can not hide the vulnerable side to her. The side which is still suffering deep devastation which she never fully recovered from. Despite her tough exterior, Payton is all squishy inside.
Gabriel Black is the ridiculously rich and hot CEO of Black Enterprises, and after Payton stumbles into his life by ungracefully falling through his office door, landing at his feet. He finds himself unable to get Payton out of his head. Wanting the one woman who's intent on pushing him away.
I just couldn't bare to put this book down, finding myself quickly drawn and immersed inside of the story from start to finish. I loved how new and refreshing it was. Yes, it was predictable at times, but who the heck cares when the story is as brilliantly alluring as this one is!
S.K's writing was seamless, entertaining, captivating, and the story as a whole was brilliantly written. I'm left with wanting more, and really wish ONCE UPON A TIME wasn't a standalone, as the secondary characters were just as entertaining as the main ones were.
This is one book that no one should ever miss, and I'm giving it 5 big fat epic stars!
